Consultations: We prefer to see a quilt in person before providing final quotes as the construction and use of fabric will depend on the complexity of the project.  Consultations are free in my home and are approximately 15 minutes.

Drop Off: Quilts can be dropped off at my Ancaster, ON home by appointment or sent by courier with online consultation.

Pick ups: I will share images of the finished project, and we can book an appointment for pick up.  Excess batting and fabric will be returned to you with your finished quilt.

Lead time: We strive for a 2 week turn around time.  You will be advised at intake if our queue is beyond two weeks.  If rush is required, please enquire.

Shipments: Return shipping will be via Canada Post (barring labour disputes) with tracking and insurance if you have so requested, otherwise by regular ground freight.  SEW DONE is not responsible for lost, missing or damaged courier packages.

Payment: Cash or e-transfer, due in full upon pick up / due before shipping.

Acknowledgments: Clients agree to acknowledge that Suzette Lucier, SEW DONE is the quilter of their quilt if displayed or published in any way, and will ask that her name/company name be published in addition to mine. Clients agree to give permission to SEW DONE to use photos and videos of their quilt for gallery and marketing purposes without compensation. This includes social media sites, website and others as required.  If you do not wish to have images of your quilt used in this manner, please specify upon intake.

Fullness Disclaimer - Fullness and/or puckers within a quilt and its borders cannot be quilted out. We can not guarantee that puckers and tucks won’t be sewn in. In some cases, excessive fullness in borders may result in the quilt corners not being square. It is the responsibility of the quilt top maker to ensure the quilt top is properly prepared for quilting and follows the guidelines set out for project intake.

Disclaimer: Clients acknowledge that SEW DONE is not responsible for any damages to the quilt by any cause beyond their control, including but not limited to flood, fire, or theft.   Digital fabrics are notorious for white “runs” when quilting because the fabric is not printed with colour all the way through and the needle turns the fibers, exposing the back of the fabric, or producing a “run.” We take every measure to ensure our methods minimize this occurrence with the correct needle, thread and sewing aids. If you submit a project with digital print fabrics, please include some extra fabric for a test trial in advance of running your quilt. We prefer to see a quilt in person before providing final quotes as the construction and use of fabric will depend on the complexity of the project.
